But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. (John 4:23)

Sunday Worship Service

Worship Service for Sunday will be conducted by conference call – this is the same platform we use for Prayer Line on Thursday evenings. Let’s not forsake the assembling of ourselves together. Please join us as the experience is always phenomenal.

Call anytime, but the best time is 10:35-10:44 a.m.

Please mute your phone to avoid audio feedback

Service begins at 10:45 a.m.

Ways to Connect

The best connection is to make sure you have personal contact with your brothers and sisters at Mt. Zion.

Our uplifting “Fellow Faith Traveler” messages are posted on our Facebook Page a few times per week.

Thursday Night Prayer Line at 7:00 p.m. teleconference info is on the Calendar page.

We are using our Zoom, to facilitate Weekly Bible Study at 7:00 p.m., and other Ministry Gatherings to help you stay connected within the ministries you participate in. Also, keep checking our YouTube channel for uploaded content.

We are postponing all other face-to-face church activities until further notice (e.g. rehearsals, meeting, etc.).

Keep checking this webpage for updates.

Giving and Donations

Feel free to send your tithe, offering, or donation to Mt. Zion Baptist Church, P.O. Box 232, Forney TX 75126-9539.

Use your online banking system to have your bank mail a check on your behalf through its bill pay/payment center function.

These options are also listed in more detail on our Giving page.

Why we are not having Face-to-Face Services or Gatherings at this time

We take seriously the health of the church membership. We also recognize that Jesus rightly reminds us that we worship God firstly in Spirit and in Truth rather than in buildings or the formalities of great, wonderful tradition.

We are thrilled to find creative ways to continue our worship and spiritual growth together while being healthy and well.

We also are committed to the goal to prevent the overwhelming of healthcare provision, which we have seen happen in various places across the globe. We do not want our hospitals and care facilities to be overpowered by a massive influx of people. Mt. Zion agrees to efforts toward the reduction of crowd density and maximization social distance.

Officials have admitted that the re-opening plans are plans for economic relief, which does not mean that the virus has changed. Next to worship, prayer, and sound mindedness, social distancing is still one of our greatest weapons against the spread of the virus.

If we each do our part, we can have a major impact in the ceasing of this devastating disease.

Building Access

The church campus is closed to everyone except critical staff to take care of administrative needs.

Other requests for building access will be considered on a case by case basis; however, the overwhelming majority of requests will be denied at this time as access prompts multiple procedural adaptations.

Closing Sentiment

Thank you for helping us in this effort to create a place of Worship that is safe, healthy, and worshipful unto Our Father in Heaven. It is ever our mission to be a Spring of Life: a house of prayer and a place of preaching and teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen (Ephesians 3:20-21)
